Notes: An original life drawing by local artist Christina Casement, completed in 2011. This study uses cool and warm watercolours on paper to capture a female model in a seated pose. We see her from the side as she faces left and slightly away from the viewer, looking out into the distance. The layering and variation in tone, brush stroke and strength over the figure give a sense of shape and fullness to the subject. The artist has hand signed and dated the work in the lower left corner. This piece has been nicely mounted and could be complemented further by being framed for display.
