Notes: A very attractive limited edition print, by the British born artist Glyn Martin. This print shows Nelson's iconic and historic flagship, 'The Victory'; the world's oldest naval ship still in commision which is now preserved as a museum ship in a dry dock at Portsmouth, one of the world's most famous ports located in the county of Hampshire. This is a modern, high quality digital print of the original watercolour, completed by the artist in around the year 2000. It has been Hand Signed, Titled as 'The Victory, Portsmouth' and Edition Numbered in pencil by the artist, G. Martin. This is number 749 of an edition limited to 850. Glyn Martin, was born in 1955 in Brighton. Unlike his older brother Philip, who is also a successful british watercolour artist, painting was always Glyn's main passion and he pursued it through his studies at college and university. He began his career as a full time artist immediately, very quickly settling on the medium of watercolours. He has also exhibited widely and has attracted a considerable number of private and public collectors and a widening reputation as a fine artist in watercolour. He now lives in the Devon Countryside with his wife and three children. This is a fine reproduction print, with such detail and a finish that is so true to the artist's medium, that it is hard to distinguish it from the original watercolour artwork. This artwork is printed onto high quality acid-free watercolour paper and comes mounted, framed and glazed ready to hang. It has been framed in an attractive and sturdy oak frame, with hanging attachments on the back.
